Baseball Game Preview: Chamblee Bulldogs vs. Woodward Academy War Eagles

The Chamblee Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Woodward Academy War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Chamblee didn't have quite enough to beat Druid Hills and fell 7-6. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brady Solomon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Sam Scazzero also deserves some recognition as he hit his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Woodward Academy suffered their biggest loss since April 18, 2024 last Saturday. They came up short against Newnan, falling 14-8.

Myles Tate was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Ray, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Even though they lost, Woodward Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Chamblee's record is now 2-4. As for Woodward Academy, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-2.
