Softball Game Preview: Polo Marcos vs. Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders

Polo is 7-2 against Ashton-Franklin Center since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Marcos will face off against the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. Polo has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Polo came up short against Fulton on Monday, falling 13-1. The Marcos haven't had much luck with the Steamers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Ashton-Franklin Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 11-0 to Oregon.

Polo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, their loss dropped their record down to 2-20.

Ashton-Franklin Center's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Polo has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Ashton-Franklin Center, though, as they've been averaging only 2.8 strikeouts. Will Polo keep running through batters, or will the Raiders buck the trend?
