            Softball Preview: Foothill Falcons vs. Dublin Gaels        
        
		
        
        
            The Foothill Falcons will be playing at home against the Dublin Gaels  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The last three games Foothill has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Friday, Foothill didn't have quite enough to beat Livermore and fell  5-3.
Foothill got a good showing from  Avana Vangipuram, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Furthermore,  Vangipuram didn't allow a single  earned run, the first time  she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.
 At the plate,  Ellie Novitske was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-2 with three  RBI and one  double.
Meanwhile, Dublin lost  14-4 to Amador Valley on Thursday. The Gaels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Charlie Sicat made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-2 with one  home run and four  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  she  launched this season.
 Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Dublin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Dublin's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Foothill has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 10.3  hits per game. It's a different story for Dublin, though, as  they've been averaging 9.3  hits. Given Foothill's sizable advantage in that area, Dublin will need to find a way to close that gap.
