Recap: Adams Central Patriots vs. St. Paul Wildcats
The Adams Central Patriots put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down St. Paul 55-38. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Adams Central has scored all season.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gracie Kelley, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds. Kelley is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Mudloff, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Adams Central pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for St. Paul, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adams Central will square off against Fillmore Central on Friday. Fillmore Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Adams Central is ranked 16th). As for St. Paul, they will head out on the road to face off against Arcadia/Loup City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Arcadia/Loup City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Tuesday.
