Trevor Brooks Delivers Best Performance of Season
Trevor Brooks produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Chapel Hill to the win on Friday. Brooks picked up a sack, forced two fumbles, and made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Unfortunately for Palestine, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Brooks. When Brooks last faced the Wildcats back in September of 2023, he picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Jesstin Starling Goes Supernova in Henderson Victory
Henderson (137) came into Friday's matchup against Kilgore (49) with a disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings, but Jesstin Starling wasn't bothered. Starling was unstoppable on Friday, rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Kilgore, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Starling. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Starling saw the Bulldogs), he rushed for 123 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

Stewart Made His Presence Known in Chapel Hill's 28-0 Win
The second Chapel Hill player making an appearance here is Rickey Stewart, and for good reason. He rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 60 yards.
Palestine had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Stewart it was a similar story. When Stewart last faced the Wildcats back in September of 2023, he rushed for 238 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 46 receiving yards.

Anthony Newman Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Henderson (137) came into Friday's game against Kilgore (49) with a disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings, but Anthony Newman wasn't bothered. Newman produced his best game of the campaign on Friday: he made 12 total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.5 total tackles per game.
For the season, Newman has averaged 5.5 total tackles per game.
