Shaw has gone 8-2 against Columbus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Shaw Raiders will host the Columbus Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. Shaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Shaw lost to Spencer on the road by a 60-41 margin. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Greenwave: they've now lost seven in a row.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Bryson Denson, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Houseweart, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Columbus, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They came out on top against Kendrick by a score of 60-50 on Tuesday.

Columbus' win came from a few key players Shaw will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaireus Johnson, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 18 points along with eight boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Smith Carver, who went 6 of 10 en route to 13 points and three steals.

Columbus is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Shaw, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Everything went Shaw's way against Columbus in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, as Shaw made off with a 60-39 win. Will Shaw repeat their success, or does Columbus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
