Centennial faced Coronado in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Their offense was headlined by Beckham Glover and Lincoln Larson, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from RJ Regalado and his 12 assists. Larson was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

BRAXTON ROWLEY was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had three digs and two blocks. He has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 15 times he's played.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Coronado, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 27-2.

Centennial has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Sierra Vista on the 8th. As for Coronado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Foothill on the 8th.
