Volleyball Game Preview: Oak Creek Knights vs. Greendale Panthers

The Oak Creek Knights will face off against the Greendale Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Oak Creek is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: Oshkosh West, who was ranked 24th at the time (Oak Creek was ranked 16th). The Knights walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Wildcats on Saturday.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Greendale walked away with it. They came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Greendale found their leader in sophomore Charlotte Campeau, who had 17 digs and two aces. Those 17 digs set a new season-high mark for Campeau.

Greendale was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Oak Creek's victory bumped their record up to 28-16. As for Greendale, their win bumped their record up to 7-30.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's match: Oak Creek has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Greendale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Oak Creek beat Greendale 2-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2023. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
