Recap: Tri County Northeast Wolfpack vs. Pender Pendragons
After flying high against the Walthill Blujays last Monday, the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack came back down to earth. Tri County Northeast had to suffer through a rough 66-26 loss at the hands of Pender. While losing is never fun, Tri County Northeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Pender is ranked tenth).
Tri County Northeast got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Shantel Miller and
Rhyanne Mackling, who each put up six points. Mackling also led the team in rebounds with eight.
Tri County Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Pender, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.
Tri County Northeast will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bancroft-Rosalie at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Pender will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Guardian Angels Central Catholic on February 6th.
