Baseball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 16-2 to the Rio Grande Ravens. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Ravens when the teams met back in April of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jose Tapia was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 3-13-1. As for Rio Grande, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-9.

Coming up, Highland will square off against Belen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rio Grande, they will face off against Del Norte at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
