Baseball Recap: New Hartford Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

There's no place like home for New Hartford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Central Square Redhawks 5-3.

New Hartford pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Central Square, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Hartford will head out to face off against Proctor at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Square, they will take on Jamesville-DeWitt at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Rams will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Redhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
