Basketball Recap: Theodore Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Theodore extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Parklyn Floyd. The Theodore Bobcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Murphy Panthers on Friday, sneaking past 53-50 thanks in part to Floyd, who posted 27 points along with five boards and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Theodore's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Collins, who had 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Collins is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Theodore has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Murphy, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Theodore will face off against Blount at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Murphy, they will host Saraland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
