Baseball Recap: Port St. Joe Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Port St. Joe was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They came up short against the Aucilla Christian Warriors, falling 12-1.

Port St. Joe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Harris, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Harris' first of the season.

Port St. Joe's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Aucilla Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port St. Joe will venture away from home to challenge Taylor County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Port St. Joe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Aucilla Christian, they will take on Brookwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aucilla Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Brookwood's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
