Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short + How To Watch

St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Ravenscroft Ravens, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.

While St. Mary's had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-19.

Maddie Fanning was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Ravenscroft, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

St. Mary's wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against North Raleigh Christian Academy on the 2nd. As for Ravenscroft, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Durham Academy on the 3rd.
