Football Recap: Trinity Classical Academy Knights vs. Vasquez Mustangs
Trinity Classical Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Vasquez Mustangs, posting a 53-0 victory on the road. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Trinity Classical Academy wouldn't let Vasquez keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as John Carlson, Patrick Cherry, and Aiden Visconti picked up one apiece. Visconti's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble, making nine total tackles, and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Trinity Classical Academy will square off against Channel Islands at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vasquez, they will head out on the road to square off against Beverly Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vasquez is looking for their season?s first victory.
