Softball Recap: Burke County Bears vs. Briarwood Academy Buccaneers
Burke County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell just short of the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers by a score of 5-4.
Paige Sullivan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylin Fare, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Burke County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Briarwood Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Burke County will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeast Bulloch at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
