Softball Recap: University Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

University got themselves on the board against Groveport-Madison on Wednesday, but Groveport-Madison never followed suit. They skirted past the Cruisers 2-0.

Not much got past Tegan Haney, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Groveport-Madison off the board.

On the hitting side, University saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Campbell, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

University's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Groveport-Madison, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

University wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 23-2 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 17th. As for Groveport-Madison, they have also already played their next game, an 8-0 defeat against Greenbrier Christian Academy on the 17th.
