Basketball Recap: Valley Mills Comes Up Short

Valley Mills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They took a blow against the Meyer Ravens, falling 78-29. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1603rd, while the Ravens are ranked 299th).

Valley Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Meyer, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Mills will take on Rio Vista at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Meyer, they will challenge Meridian at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Meyer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups.
