Basketball Recap: Pella Christian Takes a Loss

Pella Christian lost against Norwalk back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pella Christian Eagles were beaten by the Norwalk Warriors 68-34. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Warriors are ranked second).

Pella Christian dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Norwalk, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pella Christian will take on Des Moines Christian in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Des Moines Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Norwalk, they will be home for the holidays to greet Lewis Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Norwalk knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Lewis Central likes a good challenge.
