Norton has gone a perfect 10-0 against Ravenna recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Panthers will head out to take on the Ravens at 5:00 p.m. Norton is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Norton didn't have quite enough to beat Cloverleaf and fell 8-7.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ravenna, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over Springfield on Tuesday.

Connor Welling made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Hysell, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.

Ravenna was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springfield only posted a batting average of .200.

Ravenna's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12. As for Norton, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

Norton came out on top in a nail-biter against Ravenna in their previous meeting on April 9th, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
