Basketball Recap: Greenhill Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenhill). They breezed by the DasCHE Spartans to the tune of 87-49 on Monday. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Greenhill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Trey Davis out in front who posted 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Davis a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of DIllon Watt, who earned 17 points along with six boards and five assists.

Greenhill was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as DasCHE only racked up 11 assists.

DasCHE's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jadon Comeaux, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points and eight boards. Comeaux has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Moses Obudo, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points and six rebounds.

Greenhill pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.2 points per game. As for DasCHE, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Greenhill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-40 victory against Trinity Christian on the 20th. As for DasCHE, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-57 win against Newman International Academy on the 19th.
