Soccer Game Preview: Aubrey vs. Bonham

Aubrey is a perfect 4-0 against Bonham since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Aubrey Chaparrals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bonham Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Aubrey will be strutting in after a victory while Bonham will be coming in after a defeat.

Aubrey will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Celina, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Aubrey came out on top in a nail-biter against Celina on Friday, sneaking past 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Chaparrals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Bobcats are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, Bonham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Panther Creek. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Warriors couldn't quite close it out.

Bonham's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Aubrey, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Aubrey took their victory against Bonham in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 4-0. Does Aubrey have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bonham turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
