Clear Lake put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 55-44 win over the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Go-Hawks are ranked 67th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clear Lake's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clear Lake won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Non Varsity Opponent at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
