North Montgomery proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Greencastle Tiger Cubs 6-5. The victory continues a trend for the Chargin' Chargers in their matchups with the Tiger Cubs: they've now won four in a row.

North Montgomery saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Ambriz-Cruz, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Ambriz-Cruz is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another was Blake Welch, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

North Montgomery's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Greencastle, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. North Montgomery will square off against Delphi Community at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
