Volleyball Recap: Waukegan Bulldogs vs. Stevenson Patriots
Waukegan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Stevenson Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stevenson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zuzanna Wal, who had nine digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Wal a new career-high in assists (three). Ava Albin was another key player, getting six digs and three aces.
Waukegan's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Stevenson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-7.
Coming up, Waukegan will take on Proviso East in a tournament on Saturday. As for Stevenson, they will head out on the road to take on Crystal Lake Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
