Soccer Game Preview: Foothill vs. Liberty + How To Watch

The Foothill Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Liberty Patriots at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Foothill has given up an average of 5.2 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Foothill's offense. They lost 8-0 to Faith Lutheran on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Foothill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Faith Lutheran are ranked second).

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Liberty was not quite Bishop Gorman's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Gaels by a score of 2-1. Liberty fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Bishop Gorman since Tuesday.

Liberty's goal came courtesy of Sophia Campilongo, who's now up to three this season.

Liberty has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-2 record this season. As for Foothill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Foothill suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Liberty in their previous matchup back in August. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
