Softball Recap: McCrory Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but McCrory ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Buffalo Island Central Mustangs, sneaking past 12-11.

Morgan Stuckey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Stuckey was also big at the plate, earning two runs and two stolen bases.

In other batting news, Myleigh Creasey was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Annaliece Hite was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

McCrory's record now sits at 6-2. As for Buffalo Island Central, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

Coming up, McCrory will challenge Manila at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.75 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Buffalo Island Central, they will square off against Piggott at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mohawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.25 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
