Softball Recap: Penn Kingsmen vs. Jimtown Jimmies        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Penn gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Jimtown Jimmies  a   13-0 shutout. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Penn.
  Olivia Signorino looked comfortable as she  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk).
 At the plate,  Ava Zachary was  incredible,  going 4-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Logan Rumble, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Penn has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record  this season. As for Jimtown, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 13-7.
 Penn will take on New Prairie at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Penn's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9  runs per game  this season, so New Prairie's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Jimtown, they will head out on the road to  face off against  La Porte at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. La Porte is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7  runs per game  this season.
