Football Recap: Navarre Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Navarre can now relate to. They took a 13-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chiles Timberwolves on Wednesday. The matchup was a 6-6 toss-up at halftime, but the Raiders couldn't quite close it out.

Chiles found their leader in freshman Kendall Sadberry, who threw for 146 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 53 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Navarre and nudges their season record down to 10-7. As for Chiles, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Navarre does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chiles, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Fleming Island at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Timberwolves 6.6, the Golden Eagles 8.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
