The Lions came out on top against the Thunderbirds by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Avery Sands paced Lansing's offense, picking up 17 kills. Sands got some help from Brooklyn Andrews and her 24 assists. Sami Gray controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Lansing's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Shawnee Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
Lansing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against De Soto on the 23rd. As for Shawnee Heights, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Notre Dame de Sion on the 27th.
