Basketball Recap: Pell City Comes Up Short

Pell City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 55-39 fall against the Springville Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 46-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Pell City's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Springville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pell City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Montgomery Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Springville, they will head out to challenge St. Clair County at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
