Baseball Recap: Wright Comes Up Short

Wright was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Northland Pines Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 13-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Wright saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Ruotsala, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Wright's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Northland Pines, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Wright will square off against Norway at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northland Pines, they will venture away from home to take on Antigo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
