Soccer Recap: Wheatland Comes Up Short

Wheatland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 6-3 to the Mira Loma Matadors.

Evan Scott and Omar Raya scored all three of Wheatland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Wheatland's loss dropped their record down to 1-3-2. As for Mira Loma, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Wheatland wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 5-1 defeat against Placer on the 13th. As for Mira Loma, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Vanden on the 13th.
