Soccer Game Preview: Easley vs. J.L. Mann

Easley hasn't had much luck against J.L. Mann recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Green Wave are taking a road trip to take on the Patriots at 7:30 p.m.

Easley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Greenville on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Red Raiders. While losing is never fun, Easley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Greenville are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, J.L. Mann made sure to put some goals up on the board against Woodmont on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 5-0 shutout. J.L. Mann might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Woodmont with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ava Harrison (2), Madi Brannon (2), and Katie Villiger.

J.L. Mann's victory bumped their record up to 10-2-1. As for Easley, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Easley might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from J.L. Mann in their previous meeting on April 1st. Can the Green Wave avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
