Basketball Game Preview: Glendale Prep Academy Griffins vs. Mohave Accelerated Patriots

After both having extra time off, the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins and the Mohave Accelerated Patriots will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Glendale Prep Academy will head out to face Mohave Accelerated after giving up their first home loss of the season two weeks ago. Glendale Prep Academy received a blow as they fell 66-48 to Phoenix Country Day. While losing is never fun, the Griffins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Eagles are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 79 points the game before, Mohave Accelerated was a bit more limited in their game two weeks ago. They were dealt a 56-17 loss at the hands of Mohave. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Mohave Accelerated's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Glendale Prep Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-4.

Glendale Prep Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mohave Accelerated when the teams last played back in November of 2014, but they still walked away with a 44-40 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Mohave Accelerated's Donald Gadd, who posted 23 points and five steals. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for Glendale Prep Academy to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
