Baseball Recap: Hatley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mantachie last Thursday, Hatley came back down to earth. Hatley fell just short of the Hamilton Lions by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Garett Wilkinson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Hatley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Hamilton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. As for Hamilton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Union at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
