Bishop Feehan dropped their record down to 7-3 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Attleboro Bombardiers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Andrew Hosford was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin McEwan, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
As for Attleboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.
On Attleboro's side, Jeremy O'Hara made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. O'Hara has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Nick Daley tossed a big game, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Kelan Jones was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Michael Huntington was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Looking ahead, Bishop Feehan will be playing in front of their home fans against Archbishop Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Attleboro, they will head out to face off against Foxborough at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
