Basketball Recap: Hinckley-Finlayson Takes a Loss

Hinckley-Finlayson lost against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 72-46 to the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hinckley-Finlayson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Hinckley-Finlayson will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on December 26th. Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted will take on Dassel-Cokato in a holiday battle at at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Dassel-Cokato's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
