Softball Game Preview: Hokes Bluff Eagles vs. Oneonta Redskins

The Hokes Bluff Eagles will square off against the Oneonta Redskins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Hokes Bluff's tournament run continued when they took on Pleasant Valley on Saturday. The Eagles might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-2 to the Raiders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Oneonta didn't have quite enough to beat Boaz on Monday and fell 5-3. The Redskins have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Kaylee Peoples made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ashtyn Sligh, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Oneonta's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Hokes Bluff, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-22.
