Recap: Indian Creek Redskins vs. Bellaire Big Reds

After a string of seven wins, the Indian Creek Redskins's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Bellaire by a score of 54-51. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Indian Creek in their matchups with Bellaire: they've now lost five in a row.

Several Redskins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was McKenna Scott, who scored 23 points along with four steals. Scott is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Anderson, who scored nine points along with 17 rebounds.

Indian Creek's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-3. As for Bellaire, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Indian Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Brooke at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Brooke is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Bellaire will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on River at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th.
