Recap: Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks vs. Bartow Yellow Jackets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central Pointe Christian Academy, the Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past Bartow 65-34 on the road. This was payback for Jordan Christian Prep, who suffered a 57-31 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jordan Christian Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amelia Williams, who scored 24 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least 25% of Jordan Christian Prep's points. Another player making a difference was Delissa Morris, who scored 14 points along with 7 assists and 4 steals.
Several Yellow Jackets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bianca Berbick, who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Berbick is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last four games she's played. Jj West was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 4 steals.
Jordan Christian Prep's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Bartow, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Jordan Christian Prep will head out on the road to face off against McKeel Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. McKeel Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. Bartow won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Victory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. Victory Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bartow in Florida (Victory Christian Academy is ranked 160th, while Bartow is ranked 475th).
