Woodside put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Capuchino Mustangs with a sharp 48-27 win. Fans of the Wildcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Daniel Torres was his usual excellent self, picking up 142 receiving yards and two TDs, while also rushing for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries. Those two receiving touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Grady Furtado got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Woodside, adding 18 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of JJ Lange, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from Furtado.

Woodside's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Capuchino, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Coming up, Woodside will square off against Santa Clara at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Capuchino, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wilcox at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. The Chargers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
