Preview: Wahoo Warriors vs. Boone Central Cardinals

The Wahoo Warriors will take on the Boone Central Cardinals at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wahoo comes in on 12 and Boone Central on 13.

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wahoo had no problem doing just that on Friday. They didn't even let Sidney onto the board and left with a 21-0 win. Wahoo might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

The critical scores for Wahoo came from Joshua Edmonds, Noah Bordovsky, and Barrett Lavaley.

Meanwhile, Boone Central faced Ashland-Greenwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Boone Central came out on top against Ashland-Greenwood by a score of 21-14 on Friday.

PARKER BORER was his usual excellent self, rushing for 208 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. BORER has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last nine times he's played.

The team's defense also helped out by holding Ashland-Greenwood to a paltry 233 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Boone Central's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out six times before it was all said and done. The heavy lifting was done by THOMAS ROBERTS and BEN REILLY who racked up four sacks between them.

Wahoo pushed their record up to 12-0 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.1 points. As for Boone Central, their victory bumped their record up to 12-0.

Keep an eye on the end zone in Tuesday's game as Wahoo and Boone Central haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Wahoo commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 5.1 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Boone Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Tuesday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more football content.
