Foothills Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt High Tech CV on Tuesday. The Foothills Christian Knights put the hurt on the High Tech CV Bruins with a sharp 12-1 victory. The Knights not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 1, 2024.

Johannes Jansen Granillo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jr Merino, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, six RBI, and two runs. Those RBI were his first of the season. Jack Morgan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Foothills Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Foothills Christian back to even at 2-2. As for High Tech CV, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Foothills Christian will square off against Canyon Hills at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Foothills Christian's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Canyon Hills' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for High Tech CV, they will challenge Lincoln at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
