Softball Recap: Phillipsburg Takes a Loss

Phillipsburg fell victim to Hunterdon Central and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 8-0 to the Red Devils. The loss continues a trend for the Stateliners in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost eight in a row.

Phillipsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Hunterdon Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Phillipsburg will host Princeton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hunterdon Central, they will square off against Jefferson Township at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Red Devils have won seven straight at home, while the Falcons won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
