Soccer Game Preview: Imperial vs. Vincent Memorial

The Imperial Tigers will face off against the Vincent Memorial Scots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Imperial is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Yuma Catholic just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Shamrocks by a score of 4-3. The contest was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Vincent Memorial's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of El Capitan back in December of 2024. The shutout was out of character for the Scots seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in November of 2024.

Imperial's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3-5. As for Vincent Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4-1.
