Calvary Baptist Academy's tournament run continued when they took on David Thibodaux on Saturday. Calvary Baptist Academy walked away with a 6-2 win over David Thibodaux.
Kynzee Anderson made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Anderson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.

In other batting news, Baylor Bockhaus and Reese Walker did most of the damage at the plate: Bockhaus went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Walker went 2-for-3 with one home run. Bockhaus is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Mallory Carver was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Calvary Baptist Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as David Thibodaux only one home run.
Meanwhile, Quitman got themselves on the board against Minden on Monday, but Minden never followed suit. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over the Crimson Tide. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Crimson Tide: they've now won five in a row.
Like Calvary Baptist Academy, Quitman also got a great game from a two-way player: Brenna Lamkin. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Lamkin was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Anna Leach was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-2. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Maggie Guyotte, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Calvary Baptist Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Quitman, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
Calvary Baptist Academy skirted past Quitman 3-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Calvary Baptist Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Quitman turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
