Volleyball Recap: St. Martin Comes Up Short + How To Watch

St. Martin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Vancleave Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-8.

Despite the loss, St. Martin saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carilys Torres had 15 digs and one assist. Torres is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

St. Martin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-25. As for Vancleave, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

St. Martin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vancleave, they will challenge North Pike at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
