Seventy-First fell victim to Lumberton and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 15-0. The Falcons have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Seventy-First's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lumberton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lumberton beat Seventy-First by a score of 20-0 later that day.
