Softball Recap: Washington County Commanders vs. Green County Dragons

Washington County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Green County Dragons, falling 14-3. If the Commanders were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Dragons when the teams met back in April of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Washington County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashtyn Baker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Loren Frantz was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Green County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Washington County will welcome Bethlehem at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Green County, they will take on Elizabethtown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
